Dear CIT Members,
Dear Colleagues,
Summer is slowly drawing to a close. It has been unusually warm and dry at CIT Headquarters in Bern. However, I do not wish to write about the much-discussed issue of climate change, or even the right to a pristine environment. Other experts and high courts are occupied by these fundamental questions of the future of mankind. We are passionate about transport law and especially rail transport law, and we are keeping busy even during these somewhat quieter times at the end of summer.
With this special issue of CIT NEWS 3/2026 legal edition, we have focused on relevant transport topics, covering everything from the relationship between sales and contracts of carriage to payment for access charges to railway infrastructure. We therefore aim to introduce you to all the diverse facets of transport law and to experience the law in action.
Enjoy the read, and stay tuned to CIT. All comments and returns to info@cit-rail.org are very much appreciated. Many thanks!
Yours,
Erik Evtimov
CIT Secretary General
