Goodbye Gilles ...

Dear members,

It is with great sadness that we begin this CIT News which is very special for us in these days : Our dear, highly appreciated CIT Secretary General, Gilles Mugnier, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly far too early on May 10, 2025. The CIT team and the entire Executive Committee of CIT are deeply saddened by this painful loss. We have known Gilles for many years, first as an active member of our Executive Committee, and since the beginning of 2023 as our Secretary General of the CIT. During his time of office, he worked with great commitment and expertise for the goals and members of our association. He was very popular and highly esteemed by the team, the Executive Committee and everyone who knew him. Together with the CIT team, Gilles took great pleasure in redesigning the CIT News with new impulses and ideas. This edition shall be fully dedicated to him in his honor. With great gratitude for his engagement for the CIT, our thoughts are with Gilles and, on behalf of all our members, we offer our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. We would like to thank the CIT team for keeping up the good spirit and continue CIT's work with full commitment in these difficult  times.

Maria Sack, President of the CIT
