The CIT hosted the UIC Audit Team Training Event in Berne

The status of CIT requirements subject to audit checks, paper ticket management, amendments to the CIT products and training on the CIT Manual on Data Protection for Transport Undertakings (MDP) were some of the highlights of the latest UIC Audit team (PATRIC) training event in Bern, which took place on 21 and 22 February 2024 at the CIT GS premises in Berne.
In the first part of the session, participants discussed the planning and roadmap for the upcoming audits in 2024, followed by input on how to deal with the certification process that will be carried out by the UIC audit team in the case of the online part of the Open Sales and Distribution Model (OSDM). Pierre Watier (SNCF), Chairman of the UIC audit team (PATRIC), emphasized during the meeting the importance of the certification process, especially for the OSDM, as it represents a new pan-European industry standard for the sale, reservation and price distribution of tickets in rail and multimodal transport.
The first part of the session was concluded with a presentation by Nina Scherf ( CIT Senior Legal Advisor) on data protection issues, in which she gave an overview of the CIT's Data protection manual (MDP) with examples of its practical application.
In the second part of the session, Jan Vávra ( CIT Passenger transport expert) presented the status of CIT requirements subject to audit controls, amendments to CIT products and provided training on paper ticket management.
Other important topics were also discussed during the meeting, such as the conversion of offline tariff data into the OSDM format, a new structure of the new accounting files, the validity period of the public keys used for the tickets and other topics of interest to the UIC audit team.
