Multimodal transport is more and more seen as an optimal solution to combine logistic and environmental requirements: CIT's task is to create interfaces between rail and other modes of transport and to propose legal tools that facilitate the conditions for multimodal rail-road, rail-sea and rail-inland waterway transport.
