CIT cooperates with RailNetEurope (RNE) to set up harmonised documents and contracts for the use of railway infrastructure. On the basis of harmonised General Terms and Conditions of use (E-GTC-I), a standard contract for the use of railway infrastructure (E-SCU-I) is now available. The CIT and RNE also released an additional guide to implement this standard contract.

European General Terms and Conditions of use of railway infrastructure E-GTC-I

The E-GTC-I set out the general legal, administrative, technical and financial conditions of contract for the use of railway infrastructure by a railway undertaking. If so agreed by the parties, the E-GTC-I apply to all contracts for the use of railway infrastructure for the purpose of carriage by rail.
