Use of Infrastructure
Legal matters connected with the use of infrastructure in international carriage by rail are covered by the CUI Uniform Rules and by European law. CIT is working to harmonise contractual conditions across Europe.

CUI Committee
The CUI Committee is the CIT body which handles infrastructure use questions. It approved the general terms and conditions for the use of infrastructure which were negotiated with the RNE at the end of 2010. Since then it has been working on their implementation. The CUI Committee is currently composed of the following undertakings: CFR Calatori, DB, LG, NS, PKP, SNCB/NMBS, SNCF, Eurostar/Thalys, Hellenic Trains, Trenitalia.
