Our updated passenger traffic products are now available in the 'Future Versions' section of our website. They will come into effect with the upcoming timetable change on 14 December.

CIT GENERAL ASSEMBLY 2025

The CIT General Assembly took place on Thursday, 20 November 2025, at the Universal Postal Union (UPU) in Bern and online, with a significant number of CIT members participating, reaching the quorum required for taking the necessary decisions.

After a presentation of the good financial management and commitment of the CIT to its members' interests, the budget for 2026 was approved. CIT Team reported further on the main topics in Passenger, Freight, Wagon law and Infrastructure use with great legal knowledge and dedication.

The General Assembly elected Dr Erik Evtimov as the new Secretary General of the CIT beginning on 1 January 2026. Continuity and in-depth knowledge of the dedicated projects for current and future developments will enable the CIT Executive Committee and General Secretariat to meet the challenges that lie ahead for its members based on the CIT Strategy 2026-2030 to be fine-tuned in January 2026.

Thank you to all CIT members present in Bern and remotely for these important decisions, which lays the background for the CIT future developments and activities.
