Aleksandr Kuzmenko elected as OTIF Secretary-General
Mr Aleksandr Kuzmenko was elected Secretary-General of the Intergovernmental Organisation for International Carriage by Rail (OTIF) on 25 September 2024 at the organisation’s General Assembly.
Mr Kuzmenko will succeed Mr Wolfgang Küpper. His term of office will start on 1 January 2025 and run until 31 December 2027.
Mr Kuzmenko is currently the Head of OTIF’s Legal Department with a background as an experienced lawyer specialising in international rail transport, international law and cooperation. He began his career at Lithuanian Railways.
